Presentation of Monitoring Results: Nationalism and Sexism in History Textbooks in Turkey and Armenia

As a part of the project “Politics of Memory and Forgetting: Network Building for Historians and History Educators in the Context of Armenia-Turkey Relations” historians and history educators from Turkey and Armenia prepared a report on the analysis of history textbooks in Turkey and Armenia. The report will be presented in Istanbul before its launch in Yerevan in May during an international conference.

The project partners are History Foundation, Imagine Center for Conflict Transformation, Bilgi University SECBIR Center, Yerevan State University and Association of Young Historians. The project takes place within the framework of the programme Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation funded by the European Union, and with the support of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Turkey and Armenia representations.
