Armenia-Turkey Investor Networking Meetings

Turkey | Public Journalism Club, The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey
As a follow-on activity to the Armenia-Turkey Investor Day held in Yerevan in May 2017, Public Journalism Club, together with the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV) will organize a series of networking meetings between a group of venture capital fund and startup incubator representatives from Armenia and Istanbul-based venture capitals, angel investing community and incubation hub representatives.

The networking meetings will be held in Istanbul, on 20-21 July 2017, with an ultimate focus to enhance professional exchange and create broader avenues to connect the growing angel investing communities of Armenia and Turkey.

 

With the aim to inspire a culture of cooperation and to leverage on the startup potential of Armenia on one hand, and the huge business investment capacity of Turkey on the other hand, the delegation will have study visits and private meetings with the couple of most successful and active business angel networks and incubation centers of Istanbul, such as the Koc Incubation Center, Galata Business Angels, BIC Angels, 212 VC, Revo Capital, Istanbul Startup Angels, etc.  

 

The delegation from Armenia includes:

 

-       Ashot Arzumanyan: Partner at SmartGateVC

-       Jesus Lozano: Entrepreneur, BA & Estrategic Advisor Silicon Seeds

-       Aram Keryan: Operations manager at EPIC - Entrepreneurship and Product Innovation Centre of American University of Armenia and teaches several courses in the College of Science and Engineering

-       Areg Gevorgyan: Business Development Manager at the Innovative  Solutions & Technologies Center

 

This activity takes place within the framework of the Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process program, funded by the European Union.
