This component aims at supporting youth exchanges focusing on empowering youth (including youth groups, students, activists and civil society representatives) by forging ties between civil society organisations in both countries, organising targeted training on civic activism on a wide range of issues, and helping to shape a more positive political context.
The RSC will implement the activity in partnership with an Armenia-based partner (Civic Forum NGO). The activity aims to empower youth by building their civic training and advocacy skills that will be further applied to Armenia-Turkey normalization advocacy. Two separate, one-week trainings will be organized for a total of 40 youth participants.
Ms. Arpine Aleksanyan and Ms. Sona Baloyan from Yerevan, from “Matenadaran” Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, were supported with the travel grant to visit Istanbul, Turkey for meetings with the Armenian Patriarchate, Armenian high schools, foundations and publishing houses to discuss possibilities of further collaboration on preserving the Armenian culture.
