5th round of Armenia – Turkey Fellowship Scheme is Waiting for Your Applications!

The 2020-2021 term of the Fellowship Scheme is implemented within the framework of the programme Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process: Stage 3 supported by the European Union.

The Hrant Dink Foundation is launching the new term of the Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme in cooperation with Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre NGO with a view to promote experience sharing between two countries. The 2020-2021 term of the Fellowship Scheme is implemented within the framework of the programme Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process: Stage 3 supported by the European Union.

The programme will support the activities of 8 experts from Armenia and Turkey in total the opportunity to live and follow a special programme at a specific Host Organisation in the neighbouring country for one month between April 2020 and July 2021 in such fields as academia, civil society, media, culture and arts, law, health, economy, information technologies and many others in which cooperation is much needed. 51 organisations from Turkey and 30 organisations from Armenia proposed programmes for the applicants.

Any applicant who has an independent project apart from the ones suggested by the listed host organisations, and organisations that are willing to host a fellow, are encouraged to contact the Hrant Dink Foundation. The call will be open until 8 fellows have been selected for the programme. Since the evaluation of the applications will start as soon as the applications are sent, early applications are encouraged. The fellowship activities will take place between April 2020 and July 2021.

Please make sure to read the Armenia-Turkey Fellowship Scheme Regulation carefully before proceeding with your application.

Application requirements and necessary documents:

  •  Any individual holding citizenship of Armenia or Turkey, as well as individuals legally residing in Armenia or Turkey, will be eligible to apply
  • Being fluent in English is a prerequisite to apply to the programme
  • The applicant must be sure to fill in all the necessary fields in the application form in English
  • The applicant shall upload his/her up to date CV which should be a maximum of two pages and a letter of intent which should be a maximum of three pages to the relevant section in the application form

  •  Candidates can indicate three preferences as a host organisation in the neighbouring country. It shall be noted that the order of these preferences should be based on the prioritization of the preference of the application (1st one being the 1st preference, etc.)
  • The applicants will be receiving an email within 10 days following the technical assessment of the application and additional documents (i.e: reference) may be requested if it is needed.
  • The final evaluation of each application will be made by the Foundation within 60 days.

Costs covered:

  • Fellows will receive a monthly allowance of 1700 Euro to cover their subsistence, local travel and accommodation* during their fellowship in the neighbouring country for a month-long participation
  • Round trip travel expenses, as well as local transfer to reach the city of the hosting organisation
  • Visa and travel-health insurance
  • Language course

*The fellows will be responsible for finding their accommodation, however, the project team will assist them if needed.
