Armenia Turkey Cinema Platform aims to encourage filmmakers from both countries as well as the diaspora to come together, think together and produce together

Golden Apricot International Film Festival Believing strongly in the power of art in changing attitudes and that the cinema is the most effective means to reach broader sections of the society, Anadolu Kültür in Istanbul and in Yerevan have established Armenia Turkey Cinema Platform in April 2009. Since then, the Platform is organizing workshops, supporting production of films and their screenings in all over the world.

 

So far, 13 films have been supported by the platform. 9 of them are finished, 4 are on production.

 

5 of the films, Galata by Diana Kardumian, Masters of Doves by Arthur Sukiasyan, Do not Get Lost Children by Gulengul Altıntaş, Neighbors by Gor Baghdasarian and Puppet Theatre by Altan Bal and Canay Ozden have been premiered in 2011, in International Istanbul Film Festival.

 

I Left my Shoes in Istanbul by Nigol Bezdjian premiered in July 2012, Golden Apricot International Film Festival and Saroyanland by Lusin Dink premiered in Istanbul Film Festival in April, 2013 in the National Competiton. Ziazan by Derya Durmaz premiered in South Eastern Europe a Paris Festival and Diyar by Devrim Akkaya premiered in Istanbul Film Festival Documentary Selection in 2014.
