Armenia |
Hamza Algül from Ankara (Turkey) and Meryem Betül Taşdemir from Istanbul (Turkey) will arrive in Yerevan on June 17. During their four-day visit, they will work on the exchange of ideas on the issues related to the young people of Armenia and Turkey, as well as will attend the ceremonies dedicated to the Armenian Genocide centennial.

Hamza Algul and Meryem Betul Tashdemir are members of DÖDEF (Federation of Democratic Student Societies) and will arrive in Armenia as the grantees of the 2nd round of Hrant Dink Foundation’s Armenia-Turkey Travel Grant.

The Hrant Dink Foundation established the Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant in March 2014 and will issue open calls up to May 2015. The Travel Grant will finance the travels of around 200 individuals, giving them an opportunity to travel to the neighboring country for the implementation of their targeted projects.

The Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant is administered with the financial assistance of the European Union within the framework of the Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalization Process Programme.
