International Women’s Film Festival KIN was held on 4-8 November 2016 in Yerevan, Armenia. In the festival program, there were 60 films from 20 countries.
There were: Competition program, Guest Program and Retrospective screening program, which was dedicated to Armenian documentary filmmaker Arsha Ovannesova. Her granddaughter came from Spain and participated at the screening of the film about A.Ovannesova. During the festival we organised round-table. Melis Behlil (film critic, the member of the jury, Turkey) was the first speaker. She told about women in cinematography. Later spoke Ruth Olshan (director, a member of the jury, Germany) Joa Junstrom (director, a member of the jury, Sweden) and other guests of the festival. During the festival in Competition program participated film by Zynep Koprulu “1650 km”, in Guest Program was screened film “Dust Cloth” dir. by Ahu Ozturk.
During the festival, Ruth Olshan and Elena Glikman hold master-classes for students of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography.
We had international jury: Melis Behlil (Turkey), Ruth Olshan (Germany), Moa Junstrom (Sweden), Karine Verdian-Kosmol (Armenia/Germany), Ruslan Sagabalyan (Armenia/Russia).
