The Participants of the “Exchange of Painters” Project Visit Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery

On September 3rd the groups of painters from Turkey and Armenia visited the Garni temple and Geghard Monastery under the framework of the Exchange of Painters project . The trip was intended to help the participants familiarize with historical and cultural value of these two major monuments, their history, architecture as well as the surrounding landscape.

“Exchange of Painters” Project Participants: Second Day in Yerevan

On September 2ndthe young painters from Turkey and Armenia participating in the “Exchange of Painters” project had a unique architectural tour of Yerevan. Under the guidance of artist Vahram Aghasyan. The participants got to know the architecture of the capital, various stages of urban development, as well as its different districts, including cultural and industrial centers and residential areas. They visited the Northern Avenue and Kond, Norashen and Vahakni districts thus getting to see the architectural and social terrain of Yervan.
Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme presented in Yerevan

On July 12th, Saturday, the EU Centre Yerevan hosted a presentation of the “Beyond Borders” Turkey-Armenia Fellowship Scheme, during which the Hrant Dink Foundation presented the project to an audience of prospective applicants.
Exchange of Painters Project Kicks off

The Public Journalism Club (PJC) launched the Exchange of Painters project at Akanat Private Gallery-Café on September 1st. Exchange of Painters project is implemented by PJC (Armenia) in partnership with Anadolu Kültür (Turkey) within the framework of the programme “Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process” financed by the European Union.
Second Stage of “Exchange of Painters” Project Kicks Off in Istanbul

On September 29th the participants of the “Exchange of Painters” project will once again come together, this time in Istanbul. Following the first stage of the project in Armenia, the group of eight young artists from Armenia and Turkey led by their mentors Gagik Charchyan and Serdar Yılmaz will have more opportunities to work and learn together through a number of sketching events, museum and gallery visits and master classes to be held for them in Istanbul.

A Consortium of eight civil society organisations from Armenia and Turkey announces the selection results of the Grant Scheme within the framework of the programme Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process funded by the European Union under the Instrument for Stability. Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process aims to promote civil society efforts towards the normalisation of relations between Turkey and Armenia and towards an open border by enhancing people-to-people contacts, expanding economic and business links, promoting cultural and educational activities and facilitating access to balanced information in both societies.
