Info Session for the Potential Applicants of Sub-Grant Schem

Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) will deliver an information session for the potential applicants to the Sub-Grant Scheme that was recently announced within the “Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process: Stage Three” (ATNP-3) programme. The aim of the information session is to briefly present the ATNP programme, talk about previous successful dialogue initiatives supported within the Sub-grant Scheme, and elaborate on the application process and procedure in a question & answer format.

A Consortium of eight civil society organisations from Armenia and Turkey announces a Call for Proposals for the Sub-grant Scheme within the framework ofthe programme Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process (ATNP) funded by the European Union under the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP) and the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Bridge Funding for ATNP.

Following the successful exchange of entrepreneurs within the framework of the programme Support for the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process funded by the European Union, Armenia-based Public Journalism Club (PJC) and its Turkish partner the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV), as well as Mikado Consulting is organizing a new project which will bring talented Armenian and Turkish Social Entrepreneurs together for the purpose of building a strong social network for sustainable cooperation.

A new stage of professional exchange and networking between the growing angel investing communities of Armenia and Turkey was launched in Istanbul, on 20-21 July 2017. “This was a step further and aimed at bringing together selected Armenian Investors together with Istanbul network of accelerators, incubation programmes and investors to initiate concrete collaborations between two countries’ Investor Networks,” Cansu Saraç, TEPAV representative, elaborated on the goals and activities of the initiative.

As a follow-on activity to the Armenia-Turkey Investor Day held in Yerevan in May 2017, Public Journalism Club, together with the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV) will organize a series of networking meetings between a group of venture capital fund and startup incubator representatives from Armenia and Istanbul-based venture capitals, angel investing community and incubation hub representatives.

Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant: Eleventh Round Results

Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant continues to increase direct contacts and to promote cooperation between the peoples of the two neighbouring countries. During February – April 2017 application period, Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant received a total of 93 applications from both countries. We are delighted to announce that in this round, the Hrant Dink Foundation will be offering support in the form of a travel grant to a total of 50 individuals – 15 from Armenia, 35 from Turkey – for their visits to the neighbouring country with specific purpose and programme.

Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform (ATCP), in its 9th year, invites short film and documentary makers from both countries and their Diasporas to apply to the Project Development Workshop. The workshop will be held in Yerevan on 10-11 July, 2017 as a parallel event to 14th Golden Apricot International Film Festival. The workshop will consist of trainings, presentations, one to one meetings and project pitches. 10 projects will be selected for the workshop (5 from Armenia and 5 from Turkey).

Tugce Ergul, Director of Angel Labs, a global investor accelerator, based in Silicon Valley, Harald Braunstein, Founding Partner at German NFQ Capital, Alana Tung of Delivery Hero, based in Berlin, Ertan Can, Investment Director at HR Ventures in Frankfurt, Duygu Oktem, founder of the Istanbul-based DO Consultancy LLC and Cansu Sarac, a political expert at TEPAV, were among the members of the delegation arriving in Armenia.

The Public Journalism Club (PJC) and the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV), in cooperation with Angel Labs, the world’s first investor accelerator based in Silicon Valley, will conduct the first-ever Armenia-Turkey Investor Day. The launch of the event is planned on May 2, 2017. The event is aimed at promoting the idea of creation of a sustainable angel investing ecosystem in Armenia and Turkey, introduction of various formats of investor networks, as well as best international practices.
HAH Literary Translators Workshop

Armenian Committee of Helsinki Citizens' Assembly (hCa Armenia) announces call for applicants for HAH literary translators workshop. HAH literary translators workshop will take place in Armenia June 1-7, 2017. It will bring together Armenia-based translators of Turkish with distinguished professionals of literary translation (3 instructors) and a contemporary Turkish author Birgül Oğuz. The workshop is primarily focused on developing the skills of literary translators and generating the translation of novel-in-stories HAH into Eastern Armenian.

During November 2016 – February 2017 application period, Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant received a total of 162 applications from both countries. We are delighted to announce that in this round, the Hrant Dink Foundation will be offering support in the form of a travel grant to a total of 74 individuals – 30 from Armenia, 44 from Turkey - for their visits to the neighbouring country with specific purpose and programme.

As part of ATNP: Stage Two project, Anadolu Kultur in partnership with Gallery 25 from Gyumri and Nilufer Municipality from Bursa initiated “Meeting of Cities” project aiming at establishing and sustaining links between the arts and culture actors, civil society representatives and the municipalities of the two cities. The first event of the project- exhibition and concert titled “Blue Orb” produced by Human Planet artist movement and Jag-Bambir will be held in Bursa and Istanbul.
